I apologize for how long this has taken to get a new post up, but I have been so busy.  Everything has really taken off at the store, and we have been having so much fun!!!  As of this week we are going to be opening 5 days a week, Tuesday-Thursday.  If you come in on a Tuesday or a Wednesday and mention the blog, you will get an automatic 25% off of one item!  Also, we are having a huge sale right now, with many items being 20% and some even 40% off of regular price!  I look forward to seeing everyone soon!!!

Our New Logo!

Only a few more weeks to go, and I am getting so excited! Our wonderful artist, Mrs. Brittani Fordham is touring the shop tomorrow for the first time, I hope that she will be inspired!! We got our logo this week and business cards and hair bow cards are in the process of being printed up. Everything is really falling into place, and I am so thankful! I cannot believe how the Lord is blessing our efforts!!! Let me know if you want to consign anything!!!

Our policies

Okay, so just a little bit of info on our policies and other things that we will be offering.  All consignors will sign a contract that details all of our policies and rules.  Our consignment fee is 50% of the selling price.  We will display items for 90 days.  After 30 days, items will be marked down 20 %, after 60 days items will be marked down 40%, and after 90 days, you will be asked to collect your items.  

We will be featuring decorative artwork for children by a local artist.  We will sell boutique hairbows that are made locally.  Monogramming is available for most items.

The Polka Dot Pumpkin Begins!

The Polka Dot Pumpkin will be opening on June 4, 2009. Our hours will be Thurs-Sat. 10:00-5:30. We are an upscale children's consignment boutique. We only accept certain brands and everything must be in EXCELLENT condition. . In an effort to attract and keep a higher caliber of clientele, The Polka Dot Pumpkin will not accept clothing brands that are carried at Discount Stores or Mass Market Stores. This policy is not based on the fact that these stores offer un-fashionable and/or lower quality merchandise, but rather that their pricing policies and merchandise focuses are not in line with our goals. These store include but are not limited to: Babies R Us/ Toys RUs, JC Penney's, Kmart, Sears, Carters, Target, or WalMart. Brands that we welcome include: Baliey Boys, Remember Nguyen, Amanda Remembered, Castles and Crowns, Rosalina, Austin and Ashley, Strasburg, Petit Ami, Carriage Boutiques, Gap, Limited Too, Polo, and Gymboree. All other brands will be subject to inspection. We will not accept everything that is brought in. All toys and furniture must be in excellent working order with all parts included.
